Kavod v'Nichum and Gamliel Institute provide resources, education, and training along the Jewish end-of-life continuum: from visiting the sick and pre-planning, to care for the body after death, to providing comfort to the mourners.

Gamliel Institute Core Curriculum Course Schedule

  • Tuition is $500 ($250 for clergy), with some scholarship support available
  • Each course is 12 weeks, Tuesday evenings, 8:00pm-9:30pm Eastern Time, 5:00pm-6:30pm Pacific Time

February 14, 2020 – Acceptances determined; students notified
March 5, 2020 – Course 7 begins
May 21, 2020 – Course 7 ends

Gamliel Continuing Education Programs

The format for these advanced programs is three two-hour sessions offered on three consecutive Wednesday evenings.

  • Tuition is $72
  • Each course is 3 weeks, Wednesday evenings, 8:00pm-9:30pm EST, 5:00pm-6:30pm PST

Conference Registration

The 18th Annual North American Chevrah Kadisha and Jewish Cemetery Conference will be June 7-10, 2020, in Pittsburgh, PA.  Registration will open January 1st, 2020.  For more information about this year’s conference, please click here.

Gamliel Conference Day of Learning

This is a special opportunity for in-depth learning with outstanding instructors at the end of the Kavod v’Nichum annual conference. The format is usually structured into three learning sessions, each of several hours. Attendance for non-Gamliel students requires permission from the Dean. Please contact us if you would like to attend.

      • Tuition is $72
      • Three sessions: Wednesday afternoon, Wednesday evening, Thursday morning
      • Dates: June 10-11, 2020
      • Registration for the Day of Learning will become active January 1st, 2020.
